Workshops

To help dancers prepare for the ball, the local community offers workshops and review sessions in advance focusing specifically on the ball program. Visit the main Seattle ECD website to learn more about these events, as well as our regular dances.

Basics to Ball Workshops

For those who are newer to English Country Dancing (ECD), there will be two workshops that assume no prior knowledge. They will focus on the easier dances on the ball program, and teach the core concepts and skills you need to enjoy ECD. Come to both these and you should be able to dance about half the program. However, we also encourage you to attend regular local dances for greater confidence.

Ball Preview

This session will cover the more challenging or unfamiliar dances on the program. Not suitable for first-time dancers.
