BALKAN DANCING

Seattle Balkan Dancers – The Russian Community Center at 704 19th Ave E, Seattle, WA 98112. Friday evenings from 7:30 to 10:30 when recorded music and 8:00-11:00 when live music. Suggested donation is $10 for recorded music nights. None is required. Free teaching sessions 7:30 – 8:00 and class series 7:30-8:30 for a $15/class fee are scheduled periodically throughout the year. We primarily dance East European dances which are typically non-partner dances from countries such as Bulgaria, Greece, Macedonia, Turkey, Serbia, Croatia, Romania, and Albania. An occasional dance from other countries may be played as well. The early part of the evening will have mostly easy and basic dances that everyone can participate in regardless of prior experience.
