Dancing by The Lake

Join other for a lively, fun weekend dancing at lake Crescent to a variety of music and dancing:/

FRIDAY-March 14th Swing Dance

7:30-8PM Sonya Hickey basic Swing/Ballroom dance lesson
8:00-10PM Port Angeles Home School High School Jazz Band. The Home School High School Jazz Band has opened for the Stardust Jazz Band and played many venues.
Cost of the evening dance is $15, all proceeds to Jazz Program

SATURDAY-March 15th Contra/Square Dance

7:30-8PM Erran Sharpe basic contra dance lesson
8:00-11PM Red Crow Blue Grass Band from Seattle: Wayne Clark-banjo, Joe Michaels-guitar, Chuck Pliske-concertina and piano. Excellent reviews by Seattle contra dancers
Cost of the evening dance is $15, all proceeds to Red Crow

Camp David Jr. is a Clallam County Park facility with a large lodge and heated cabins capable of lodging 100 campers. It is located on the Southeast end of Lake Crescent. To get there simply stay on Hwy 101 through Port Angeles passing the Elwa River and driving the 11 mile stretch of Lake Crescent. When you reach the end you will see Camp David Jr. road to your right, travel about 2 miles on this road looking on your right for Camp David Jr. Turn in and park immediately by the open grass field and walk to the lodge.

Cabins, Hiking, Bicycling, Trip to 200ft long Mines

We invite you to stay for the weekend in the cabins. Rick Marschall will be leading a hike to the nearby secret Manganese Mines, 200 feet long tunnels you can easily walk through standing up. The nearby Spruce Railroad Trail is a pleasant flat walk or bicycle ride. Food is Pot Luck, bring a sleeping bag, and personal items. Canoes, Foosball, Ping-Pong table provided.

Cost of the weekend, including cabins, facilities, dances is $25
